3D modelling and printing contest from Shapeways and AutoDesSys

AutoDesSys has teamed up with Shapeways to offer a 3D Modeling and Printing Contest that starts the first day of Siggraph and runs for a month – August 4 to September 4, 2009.

AutoDesSys has a passion for 3D modeling! Shapeways is passionate about creating!

Together they are inviting designers from all industries to build their dream home or any object in it with bonzai3d.

Contestants who do not own bonzai3d, can download the free trial version from http://www.bonzai3d.com. All models submitted for judging must be created with bonzai3d and uploaded to Shapeways’ site at http://www.shapeways.com. Winners for the following prizes will be announced September 30, 2009.

1st Prize: $300 3D print of your model + form•Z RenderZone Plus -Prize valued at $1,800

2nd Prize: $200 3D print of your model + bonzai3d – Prize valued at $700

3rd Prize: $100 3D print of your model + bonzai3d T-shirt – Priceless!
