RenderTITAN 2.0 : Render Faster for less!RenderTITAN 2.0 : Render Faster for less!

RenderTITAN Launches RenderTITAN 2.0 service
New services, more render nodes, and lower prices

Dallas, TX - August 1st, 2009 - RenderTITAN is proud to announce the launch of RenderTITAN 2.0. More than just a website redesign, we have also focused our services to better match what our clients have been requesting, upgraded our infrastructure for even faster rendering, and introduced lower pricing options.

RenderTITAN provides an ultra fast and confidential remote render farm service that meets the demands of an individual artist, an architectural firm, or a full production studio. We are not only a render farm, but a render farm SERVICE for professionals.

You can never have enough rendering power. We have added enough extra nodes to give us over 25% more rendering power than before, each with 64bit capabilities and 8GBs ram. We have also added several systems over-clocked to 4.2 GHz with 12 GBs of ram that are ideal for quickly rendering stills, IR Maps, etc...

We have revaluated our pricing structure to now offer rates as low as 6? / Ghz Hr with a discount curve that rapidly increases. In addition we now offer a 25% Price Match Guarantee. If another reputable commercial render farm offers the same service at a lower advertised price, we will beat it by 25%! We have even added a new "Budget Account" option for Cinema4D users that gives instantly 50% off if they only use our services remotely.

Completed jobs can be downloaded from our synchronous 100Mbs internet connection or use a shipping option via HDD, DVD, or blu-ray. We also have a courier service in the Dallas Fort Worth Area as well as other surrounding cities such as Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Other cities are available with advance planning.

In an effort to make it easier to get an accurate estimate, we have added an online render calculator tool that has an exhaustive number of processors to chose from, or you can use Maxon's Cinebench (a cross platform 3D benchmarking tool) to better compare our render farm to your unique system to predict the render times and costs successfully. This allows you to budget smarter, without any pricing games or long term contracts.

RenderTITAN continues with its transparent billing and by node monitoring. The user also has the ability to check each frame as it is completed without having to wait for the entire render job to be finished. Further, you can always trust that all your files are treated as highly classified material and we will never use your projects as general marketing material. Contact us now to schedule your render appointment.

RENDER QUICKLY AND WITHIN BUDGET, RENDER WITH THE TITAN!

'MudWalker ' & 'ReLight' Plug-ins for Mudbox 2010

'MudWalker ' and ReLight' Plug-ins for Mudbox 2010

MudWalker video

Relight Video

Price: FREE (studios with over 5 artists do have to pay though)

These are two plug-ins I've been writing 'off grid' for the last 2 1/2 months for Mudbox 2010's release. I'm going to let the videos do the talking and explaining on this one.

These plugins will ONLY be available for download from mudboxhub.com from as soon as mud2k10 is publicly available.

Enjoy.

PS mudbox users may want to head over to the area to see my siggraph masterclass for Autodesk which shows mud2k10 in action along with these plugins.

Mudbox2010

About the new Mudbox 2010

The feature highlights of this release are:
- FBX support: import and export meshes, object names, cameras, texture maps, shader settings with 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage
- PSD file support: If you need to create detailed graphics or geographic patterns (such as numbers, letters on a shirt, decals on a car), you can now transfer your Mudbox paint layers in Photoshop for image editing or color correction, and export them back as stencils in Mudbox to project them on your 3D model.
- Render from viewport: you can now render high resolution images directly from the viewport for presentation.
- New viewport filters: preview the appearance of your model when rendered in another application using the non-photorealistic render filter, the normal map filter, and other new filters.
- New brushes: Try the Clone brush, Dry brush and improved Wax brush
- SDK: customize Mudbox using the new C++ application programming interface (API) to integrate it into your pipelines.

Blog details the ins and outs of CG Pipelines

Are you Building or Managing a CG pipeline?

This week The Art of CG Supervision covers all things related to CG pipelines.

In a multi-part series, CG and VFX Supervisor, 3d animator and compositor Isa Alsup explores the background, nature and structures of CG pipelines.

Parts 1-3 of this informative series looks at the history of pipelines, the three classes of pipelines used in CG production and the three dimensions of common to pipelines. Technical pipelines are addressed and how they differ from CG pipelines.

Future articles will explain each of these concepts in depth, exploring the nature and design of CG pipelines used for production, asset management and approval processes.

Autodesk announces Connection Extension for 3ds Max 2010 software

New Release Improves Interoperability with Popular Design Software and Simplifies Work with Complex Scenes

NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 3, 2009 — At SIGGRAPH 2009, Autodesk, Inc., has announced the Connection Extension for Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 and Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2010 modeling, animation and rendering software. The release makes it easier and more cost-effective to turn designs into more accurate, creative advertisements or realistic visualizations. This is achieved by delivering new levels of interoperability — based on intelligent data workflows — between 3ds Max and design packages from Autodesk and other third parties.

Connectivity and Intelligent Workflows
Improved interoperability with several popular applications helps artists to create compelling content more efficiently. The addition of new, high-fidelity data translators for SKP and SAT file formats, along with a rewritten OpenEXR translator delivers:
  • Importing and exporting of SAT files for moving solids-based design data between 3ds Max and Autodesk Inventor Professional, the Alias family of products or certain third-party design products.
  • More efficient, accurate importing of files from Google SketchUp sketching software — a common tool in the architecture and design communities — and support for reading the thousands of 3D objects in Google’s 3D Warehouse.
  • Importing and exporting of multilayer OpenEXR files with advanced options for transferring extra elements (camera information, scripted data) to support high dynamic range (HDR) workflows with advanced compositing applications. This helps to reduce the number of iterations required to achieve the final result.

The Connection Extension for 3ds Max 2010 provides smarter, more effective workflows that help artists to deal with complex scenes through:
  • Improved compatibility with advanced compositing applications via the enhanced OpenEXR plug-in, which helps artists take advantage of render passes to transport layered HDR data for relighting rendered 3D scenes without going back to the 3D application.
  • An improved materials workflow that allows individual layers from an OpenEXR file to be used in a material.
  • More optimal display and rendering of imported solid and NURBS-based bodies. Maintaining models’ procedural nature, rather than reducing them to triangles, can help to save time and prevent costly geometry clean-up work.
  • Procedural, resolution-independent meshes give artists greater control over rendering performance versus quality.

Pricing and Availability
The Connection Extensions for Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 and Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2010 are expected to be available for download to Autodesk Subscription customers in August 2009. The Connection Extension is not sold separately.

The Autodesk suggested retail price for a license of 3ds Max 2010 or 3ds Max Design 2010 is US$3,495*. The suggested retail price to upgrade from either 3ds Max 2009 or 3ds Max Design 2009 to 3ds Max 2010 or 3ds Max Design 2010 is US$895*. Autodesk Subscription is available for purchase simultaneously with the product or upgrade purchase. The Autodesk suggested retail price for Autodesk Subscription for 3ds Max 2010 or 3ds Max Design 2010 is US$495* per year.

*International pricing may vary.
