The folks from the new Wonderstruck Studios (Detroit, Michigan) will be gathered at the world famous Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter- on Wednesday, Aug 5th, between 5pm- 7pm, to meet with talented animators, FX artists, teachers, technologists, suppliers and film makers- to network and learn about this exciting new project!
Wonderstruck is a Feature film studio, with an emphasis on animation and visual effects projects. They are also opening Wonderstruck Institute, to provide the highest quality industry training. Over 400 jobs are expected to be created by Wonderstruck, as they ramp up. They are also looking to meet prospects who would like to teach.
Come and meet Mary Anderson, Executive Director of Production Technology, who will be there to talk about the progress and goals- and to build relationships with promising talent here at Siggraph. Several folks from Michigan's film and digital arts industry will also be there. Look for us in the "Patio Bar" area. If you're a talented animator, filmmaker, instructor or technologist- we want to meet you! Come stop by to learn more about the Wonderstruck Institute, the animation studio and Michigan's exploding film industry!
