WIN £10K CHARACTER DESIGN TRAINING
Computer Arts Projects has teamed up with our friends at London’s Escape Studios to put together an incredible prize package, perfect for any talented character artist looking to move into 3D design.
Escape Studios is Europe’s leading Computer Graphics Academy, delivering learning, recruitment and technology services for the visual effects and games industries. Based in London, one of the world’s centres for the visual effects industry, Escape provides accelerated learning to school leavers, graduates, industry professionals and businesses.
Its intensive, accelerated CG courses are designed to take complete beginners to the point where they can perform at an industry entry level, and are available as classroom courses or as collaborative online courses. Classroom training is offered in different areas of expertise, including animation, visual effects, compositing, character design and gaming. Dedicated software courses are also avalailable, including RenderMan, Maya and Nuke.
Escape have generously made room for one aspiring 3D artist on their acclaimed six-week Character Design course, taught by Nick Savy – worth £8,500. Beginners in 3D needn’t worry, as they’ve also thrown in an online distance learning course to teach yourself Maya before you start (worth £999), and a student license of Maya 2009, courtesy of Autodesk.
Two runners-up will also receive the online Maya Core course (worth £999), which introduces the industry-standard package and covers basic animation, modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering.
